History of G.S Saint Pierre NKOMBO

The school started in 1939 as a school of lower Primary, when learners were reached in primary three (P3), they were sent to Rusunyu Primary school to continue in Upper Primary till to their final National Exams. It is in 1974-1975, when the school became a school with both Lower Primary and Upper Primary

It continued to be widen where in 1986 the graduated its first Candidates in so-called CERAI. It became a school of Primary school up to CERAI. Progressively, in 2003 the CERAI has changed into ECOLE SECONDAIRE NKOMBO.

In 2008 after being allocated the Option of BIO-CHIMIE the current MCB, the school challenged with 2008 earthquake in Rwanda. All learners were in E.S Nkombo were allocated in different schools to continue their studies. Thereafter

in 2009, the school was remained as a Primary School. It was just in this year where the Government of Rwanda was implementing the policy of Nine Basic Education and Twelve Basic Education for all in Rwanda, where this school was appointed a Nine Basic Education.

In 2010, E.S. Nkombo changed the name to Groupe Scolaire Saint Pierre Nkombo under the targets and vision of our Government of Rwanda education system. Today, G.S. Saint Pierre Nkombo is a competent school with success, innovation and creativity among Rwandan Secondary schools.

Infrastructure and Facilities.

Our school campus boasts modern and well-equipped facilities that create an ideal environment for learning and growth. We invest in contemporary classrooms, laboratories, libraries, sports facilities, and cutting-edge technology to enhance the overall educational experience for our students

GS Saint Pierre Nkombo strives to make a positive impact on the community by organizing outreach programs, fostering partnerships, and promoting social responsibility initiatives.
